Even though there is clear medical research that links stress to heart disease and other physical problems, the physical problems must be treated before or concurrently with stress reduction treatment.

Stress Recovery Services
My stress recovery services begin with an initial assessment interview. In the course of this interview, we will explore your stress history and it's current role in your life today. I will explain my available services and we will construct a customized course of treatment from the options listed below.
Stress Recovery Treatment Options
Option 1: Individual sessions
Individual sessions will last 60 minutes and will be scheduled once per week or as needed. The first part of the session will include cognitve-behavioural talk therapy about past causes of stress and possible trauma, discussion of current causes of stress and lifestyle habits which contribute to stress. Healthy lifestyle goals and objectives will be developed together and reviewed each session. Goals and objectives will be customized for each individual and will focus on the life areas of:
The last part of the session will feature instruction and practice time with the indicated method of stress reduction. These methods of stress reduction include, among others:
The number of individual treatment sessions needed will depend on the amount of stress, the amount of time you have been living with stress and developing a stressful lifestyle, your motivation to change and your diligence in practicing the exercises at home. A typical range in the number of sessions is anywhere from two to six.
Option 2: Swiss Thermal Spa Day
If you have just returned from a stressful mission abroad to a war-torn country, delivering emergency services to people with tremendous need, and you need to gear up for the next stressful mission abroad; or you just need to be able to concentrate on your work at hand; or you don't have time during the workweek to leave the office for individual sessions, then the Swiss Thermal Spa Day may be for you.
This program is pre-designed with you to provide you with as much relief in one day as is possible. It is available on weekends as well as on weekdays. It starts with a 60 minute planning session at least one week before the Spa Day. In this session we develop together, your treatment goals and objectives covering the life areas. We then plan on how to meet those goals and objectives using the methods of stress reduction.
A typical day could include the following elements:
9:00 Pick up and drive to natural area
Music therapy in the car
Exercise (e.g. hiking, skiing...)
Hypnosis or Thought Field Therapy session
Talk therapy
Breathwork
12:00 Nutritious meal
Bain de Lavey Spa
Massage
Soak in the warm mineral waters
Light nutritious snack
6:00 Drive home with sound and light machine or talk therapy
Fees
Individual treatment sessions are CHF 100 for 60 minutes. The Swiss Thermal Spa Day is CHF 400, which includes transportation, my time and all treatment sessions during the day. Additional expenses are meals, rental equipment fees and spa fees. I am not currently associated with any insurance schemes, so only private pay is accepted.
